Robert Higley

Vice President, Asset Management Group

Robert Higley serves as a Vice President of Asset Management with LW Hospitality Advisors®. Prior to joining LWHA in November 2022, he served as Vice President of Asset Management for the Procaccianti Companies in Cranston, RI which is one of the largest privately held hotel investment/management companies in the United States. Robert oversaw a portfolio of ten full-service and select-service hotels and was directly responsible for identifying and implementing value-add initiatives, forging and maintaining investor and lender relationships, analyzing and reporting operating/investment performance, and other tasks that would ensure the company’s assets were consistently meeting and/or exceeding their stated investment return objectives.

Prior to his time with the Procaccianti Companies, Robert spent close to a decade with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and Marriott International, holding various positions within their Real Estate Investment Management groups. With Starwood/Marriott, he was responsible for the collaborative asset management of a portfolio of over 50 owned and leased hotels valued at over $5B. In addition to his asset management duties, Robert directly contributed to the successful disposition of 35 hotels, generating over $3B in sales proceeds for the organizations, and helping them both achieve their highest priority goals of the decade – a migration to an “asset-light” model.

Additionally, Robert has experience with all other real estate asset classes, having started his career as a Real Estate Analyst for a prominent shopping center developer before moving onto roles that provided him with exposure to multi-family, office, and industrial properties. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and Urban Economics from the University of Connecticut, an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Development from Nova Southeastern University, and a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University.
