Matthew Kurtas is an associate with LW Hospitality Advisors. Matthew grew up in the Private Club, Golf, and Fine Dining industries, and is affiliated with the Club Management Association of America as a Certified Club Manager and a past director of the Association’s Wine Society. Mr. Kurtas also holds a Certified Sommelier designation through the Court of Master Sommeliers. He is a proud graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, and a lifelong learner.
Prior to beginning with LWHA, Matthew’s operations experience include management in a variety of capacities: as General Manager/C.O.O, he led the Edgeworth Club team through a crisis-response construction/restoration in the historic 1930 Clubhouse; as Food and Beverage Director he maintained five star service levels at The Loxahatchee Club, Jupiter, FL’s premier gated golf community and Country Club; and he proudly started his career in operations as Clubhouse Manager of Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club, on Maine’s scenic coast, and in rotations at The Union League of Philadelphia, America’s longest-standing #1-Ranked City Club.
